An attractive,small hotel in the heart of this historic village, offering traditional hospitality in a peaceful location amidst greenery and blossom beside the church. Home-made food and local wines, some from their own vineyards, are served in the restaurant or garden terrace, and home-made apricot jam is provided with breakfast. 15 rooms with en suite bathrooms and cable TV.

A romantic, late Gothic castle dating from 1070, and expanded with fortifications and a moat in the 16th century. St. George's chapel and rthe crypt located within the fortress are noted for its architecture. The castle has been carefully restored with 12 beautifully appointed, traditionally furnished rooms and apartments with en suite bathrooms and cable TV. There is also a castle bar with open fireplace, cozy lounges, sauna and solarium. Its location high above the valley, which leads down to the Danube at Spitz, and the hamlet of Niederranna is particularly appealing. This is an area of wooded hills and orchards on the edge of the Waldviertel overlooking the Jauerling.
